Once you have your pool URL, and worker name, open the futurebit bfgminer software folder you downloaded above and edit the 'start-moonlander' file with a text editor note the example below will look different for windows '. In the highlighted red box above enter your specific pool URL, in the green box enter your worker username, and in the yellow box enter your worker password this usually does not matter for most pools. Save the file and you are almost ready to start mining!
You should see a green light on the Moonlander indicating everything is ready to go. Simply double click the 'start-moonlander' file you edited above to launch our software and start mining!
Thats it! You should now see yellow and red blinking leds on the Moonlander indicating that it is now mining successfully to your pool. You should also see a window similar to the one on the left. Each 'Accepted' line means your Moonlander has found a share and submitted it to your pool. For more info, and to learn more about your Moonlander and additional information on how to fine tune it and increase its clock rate please visit our forum thread below.
Pros: Handles dual monitors just fine. Plays Crysis on High pretty well. Never turn the computer or monitors off and it keeps going. No complaints about it at all. Cons: Only problem I have ran into is video quality at first, download the drivers and the Nvidia agent, and everything clears up fine. Pros: When I bought it mail-in-rebate it was a great deal for the money. Now it's about average. Runs amazingly. Oblivion, MFSX, and all other demanding games can be run at max without lag.
Cons: Wish I had two, but with Newegg's limited quantities, makes getting that second one just that much harder. Overall Review: Is there no online merchant that can keep this card in stock?
You couldn't even make a sandwich with your hands! Pros: Runs F. Didn't need an extra upper slot available for a fan - an issue with my current tower, which doesn't have anything above PCI-E slot just got a new desktop from DELL, as I needed something uber-fast, as my old 3.
Fan gets noisy sometimes, but you won't hear it, unless you play with no sound at all : Runs silently when I'm not playing. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg. This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked. Out of Stock. Add To Wish List. Are you an E-Blast Insider? Get Educated. Power through games with silk-smooth frame rates at widescreen resolutions up to x, and enjoy ultra fluid, high-definition video playback using advanced NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology.
All this means extreme gaming performance. A unique Superscalar GPU architecture pushes performance to new heights. These cards are late-model spins on existing DirectX 9, Shader Model 3. When those new GPUs arrive, they will bring new capabilities and probably set new standards for performance. Both cards may be equally overmatched. But ponying up that much cash for a card with MB of memory at this point in history looks like a risky move to me. At that price, the Radeon will undercut the GT by at least 20 bucks.
XFX was right to go with another solution, and they get copious style points for having the guts to go passive. That combo might just be enough to tempt me away from the Radeon. The same can always be said about waiting, sometimes you just need to take the plunge. The last gasp of the Dx9. Let the dogs see the rabbits in the Dx10 lineup. Better informed is better decision-making. We expect high end cards built for DX10 to well exceed the performance of DX9 hardware even under current games.
Right on the money, and no doubt Anand has already had an early peek at what the future has in store. The xxtx ran with the gtx for got sakes. The xAIW is sweet too if you count the tv tuner, and overclocking. Everyone is whining about CCC because to get control of all the features on your brand new card this is what you have to run. I posted on this in the forums but people though I was cooky. Also about image quality. By default the image quality is lower then that of Radeons. You read his post?
I stopped somewhere on the second paragraph. Too much pontification over something so trivial is silly. I know that these folks live and breathe this business full time, and know far more about it than I do. And I, personally, would rather see constant quality than constant press releases. Even if it means waiting. ATi and nVidia are in a funky little leapfrog scenario, and in my humble opinion this is stifling somewhat the quality of their products.
Competition breeds innovation, but the pace at which these guys are butting heads is like a frat beef. In my opinion, we are seeing way too many SKUs come out in short periods of time. The recent past has shown you competing head to head with your competitor NVi?
I say, enough already. So, Mr. If Atidia had four maybe five releases per year when they came out with a suite of cards that were a combination of updates along with a new card or two, and they had actually spent all that time since the previous release working on quality and efficiency, I think it would pay off in spades. Enough of releasing a minor update every Thursday. These cards are dual core, rock solid, very fast and as always have a five year warranty.
The newest card introduces a great new feature called QuasiView, which will be rolled into the rest of the line in the next round in January. We had a hard time finding a flaw with this card, and the price is an unexpected bonus. My faith in your company can be had relatively cheaply: I want to plunk my cash on a product which I KNOW went through spirited development and adequate QC.
I am wondering though, why on earth would you cite Linux driver support for SLI when there are almost no games that you can play in Linux? What irks me is that they don't bring the older top-end cards down in price like they used to and instead they release newer cards that don't perform as well as the ones already on the market.
From a performance point of view, what's the advantage of a GS when there's already a GT? This happened a lot less in the pre-GeForce5 days, plus they had MX or SE in the name so you knew which ones not to buy Linux drivers and SLI capability.
Nvidia Linux drivers are pretty decent, and X-fire master cards are prohibitively expensive…. Maybe afew vendors will still carry them, but the rest will drop them if the GT was any indication. Yeah, until you try running dual monitor. I think that slightly changes the conclusion of this article.
This card is amazing when you look at the ammount of performance you get and how few watts this things soaks up. Just to run an R card most of us are talking about a psu upgrade whereas the GT at full load only soaks up 24 more watts than the GT. The passively cooled version from XFX is also mighty tempting. This is how things should look:. That is exactly why I will always go with a single card solution.
So the GT is going out? By the time I would need a second GT, would I even be able to buy one? Probqbly not! XXT seems to be a really nice performer at the given price point. Also, a lot of the video filter effects I use in Adobe After Effects render in real time on Nvidia cards only…other wise, I would most probably wanna grab an ATi card….
Its main problem is that it opens slowly…other than that it works pretty well. The XTX you are getting is a kick ass card.. To me, this card is the best value for what I want, and I think it beats out all the recent Nvidia additions for performance in the price range. Type search above and then hit Enter. Our test systems were configured like so: Processor Core 2 Extreme X 2.
Each gameplay sequence lasted 60 seconds. This method has the advantage of simulating real gameplay quite closely, but it comes at the expense of precise repeatability. We believe five sample sessions are sufficient to get reasonably consistent and trustworthy results.
