Etsy is a Mecca for specialized, beautiful items that you may not be able to find anywhere else, and it serves as a community for creative people. It is user-friendly and easy to operate, and the prices are fair. My biggest complaints about Etsy are that they do not promote truly handmade items as much as they used to, and that they are too quick to shut down a shop at the first sign of a conflict with a customer.
There is no hearing process or chance to course correct. I love being an Etsy seller and I am happy, but I no longer trust them as much as I used to. I have no first hand experience with this as my shop is still in tact. This is my honest assessment that I would tell a good friend. I would have kept it to myself, but they asked.
