Once you do find an exchange partner, it's important that all aspects of the exchange arrangements are discussed and agreed to in writing. Returning firefighters are asked to submit a report on the valuable experiences they have whilst on exchange. I am interested in looking into establishing an active firefighter exchange program with other international departments. At this point we are only looking into the possibility and I am working on putting together a proposal to take to the city leadership.
